Sebastian Catovsky is head of adaptation for the adaptation sub-committee of the UK Climate Change Committee, an independent committee that advises the UK government about tackling and adapting to climate change. His prior appointments include policy advisor on natural perils for the Association of British Insurers and work with the UK Department of Environment and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) and Imperial College. He has coordinated and contributed to a number of reports, including the Stern Review and several studies on flood and climate risks, and has a scientific background in ecology.
